Introduction of Anti-Bribery And Corruption Framework

The trust Niro Ceramic Group (Niro Ceramic Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. and its subsidiaries) shares with its stakeholders over the decades is both a privilege and a most valuable asset. We recognise that our continued success depends upon that trust and we are committed to preserving it by conducting our business with honesty, integrity and in compliance with the regulations where we operate.

As part of this commitment, we fully support the implementation of the new Section 17A of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009. In effect since 1st June 2020, it sets a higher benchmark for corporate liability in relation to corruption and dishonest commercial misconduct. Pursuant to the new legislation, Niro Ceramic Group is strengthening its internal communication and processes to clearly convey our stance against all forms of bribery and corrupt practices, as well as specific directives we have adopted to address key risk areas.

The Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy is unanimously and absolutely approved by the Board of Directors and all members of the executive management team are committed to its implementation.

As with all governance-related guidelines, all employees and entities of Niro Ceramic Group are subject to the principles and procedures of the policy regardless of their location, function and status. Extended workforce and third-party stakeholders contracted with the Group are also expected to adhere to the policy in the course of performing work or services on our behalf.
